2. Purpose
CARMAT, as part of its activities and in accordance with the regulations in force in France and Europe, in particular the European Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter GDPR), undertakes to ensure the protection, confidentiality and security of the personal data of the website’s visitors and users, as well as to respect their privacy.
This Personal data policy may result in changes, in particular to adapt to the legislation in force. Website users shall be notified of these changes by virtue of their online publication. It is advisable to regularly review the current version available.
The website is intended for health professionals and is not aimed at minors.
3. Processing operations implemented by CARMAT
a) Processing purposes
CARMAT is the Data Controller as defined by the GDPR for data collected via its website. The following data is collected from a visitor who wishes to get in touch with CARMAT via the contact form:
- Their Surname, First name;
- Their Email address;
- their message to CARMAT
b) Data retention
The data is stored on secure servers preventing any risk of disclosing the information entrusted to CARMAT as part of the registration on the website.
c) Retention period
The data is retained for the entire duration of the service provided and for an additional period of 2 years at the end of the service, or if the user unsubscribes from the service. For the purposes of evidence in legal proceedings, the data is retained until the end of any legal recourse from applicants.
d) Transfer to third parties
The data can be transferred to subcontractors for the purposes required by the user. No information is passed on to subcontractors outside the EU. The data can be passed on to the supervisory authority or any judicial authority at their request.
4. Exercise of users’ rights
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as a user you are entitled to:

We shall keep the messages relating to your request as confirmation of our response to the exercise of your Rights, to submit them to supervisory authorities as part of our legitimate interest and to fulfill this legal obligation.
When you exercise your rights, our DPO processes your personal data with a view to managing your request (title, surname, first name, possibly copy of identity document, nature of the request, response given). This data is retained for three (3) years, with the exception of the copy of your identity document (if requested), which is retained for one (1) year.
Afterwards, you shall also have the right to submit a complaint relating to the way CARMAT collects and processes your data with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL, French Data Protection Agency), 3 Place de Fontenoy – TSA 80715 – 75334 PARIS CEDEX 07.
